Evening Primrose helps heal emotional pain absorbed from the mother in early childhood. It is especially recommended for those who were adopted or unplanned, causing stress in utero. Evening Primrose can also help with other mother issues, such as being over-controlled, or used to boost her self-esteem (therefore you had to be a model student or whatever she needed you to excel at) or to fulfill her ambitions. These things make emotional maturation difficult and can produce fear of commitment, fear of abandonment or rejection, avoidance of feelings, fear of being a parent, and fears of being taken over or controlled by another. Evening Primrose can help resolve this by encouraging self-care, and encouraging us to openly express our feelings and to forge deep, long-term relationships.
